We have completed the Foundations in Corporate Sustainability Course with the
UN Global Compact Network
in Singapore and obtained the CERT tool to accurately measure Greenhouse Gas Emissions.

We have established a hiring procedure to ensure that we follow standards international standards of anti-discrimination. We only hire based on skills, experience and attitude.

We now ask all new vendors who register with us and show compliance to basic standards of human rights, labour, anti-corruption and environmental laws.

August 2024: Anti -Discrimination
Breaking down Vivo Asia’s Anti-Discrimination policy which outlines employee rights and responsibilities.
We firmly believe that a diverse team backed by an open and inclusive work environment will bring out our highest potential.
Stop The Use Of Single-Use Plastic
Vivo Asia has issued a challenge to all our employees to stop the use of single-use plastic during May 2024. We hope spread awareness on the detrimental effects of single-use plastic on the environment and inspire a lifestyle change.
We ended the campaign with a beach clean up along the Bentota Beach in Sri Lanka!
For June 2024, we focused on anti-corruption and integrity in the workplace!
As a Singaporean company, business integrity is one of our core values and all our employees and partners strictly follow our anti-corruption policy.
In July 2024, we focus on an important part of sustainability, which is ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
Due to the nature of our work being potentially hazardous, Vivo Asia implements a strict “Zero Injuries” policy with trainings and a safety first attitude.

As a responsible company, Vivo Asia Engineering & Trading Pte Ltd has pledged to align our sustainability efforts with the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact.
OUR POLICIES
The Ten Principles of the UN global Compact
By incorporating the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact into strategies, policies and procedures, and establishing a culture of integrity, Vivo Asia aims to uphold our basic responsibilities to people and planet, while also setting the stage for long-term success.
Principle 1: Businesses should support and respect the protection of internationally proclaimed human rights; and
Principle 2: make sure that they are not complicit in human rights abuses.
Principle 3: Businesses should uphold the freedom of association and the effective recognition of the right to collective bargaining;
Principle 4: the elimination of all forms of forced and compulsory labour;
Principle 5: the effective abolition of child labour; and
Principle 6: the elimination of discrimination in respect of employment and occupation
Principle 7: Businesses should support a precautionary approach to environmental challenges;
Principle 8: undertake initiatives to promote greater environmental responsibility; and
Principle 9: encourage the development and diffusion of environmentally friendly technologies.
Principle 10: Businesses should work against corruption in all its forms, including extortion and bribery.
2023/2024 Communication On Progress
Vivo Asia is pleased to announce out commitment to the Ten Principles of the UN Global Compact through the submission of the Annual Communication on Progress Report.
This report emphasizes our progress in terms of company policy and aligning our company goals with these principles. We have also identified areas in which we have not made progress, and made targets to achieve.
